I went with a friend and used a coupon which they happily honored. The food came quickly and we were both very impressed. I ordered a medium rare steak on Italian bread (I can't recall the name of the bread), with caramelized onions and mushrooms. Very nice looking restaurant with great view of the lake. I look forward to going there again!
Also - the coupon from Groupon only cost $12.00 and we both got to order FOR FREE any item off the lunch menu. Only paid tax and tip and the drinks.

There are a ton of restaurants in Barrie, seemingly half of them in close proximity to Manhattans. You would THINK that they would be working over time to win customers. Well, sadly the exact opposite is true.
We were given a gift certificate (with an expiry date no less.. Strike one). We also had a coupon for two for one entrees. There was nothing on the coupon. No exclusions, no fine print, not even an expiry (bizarre).
I get there planning on doing two for one and adding a nice bottle of wine. Our coupon is refused. We can't use it with a gift certificate. Creating exclusions without specifying them until we get there. Isn't there a Law against that? Great. Skip the wine. The service was lousy. It took a very long time to get our drinks. It took an even longer time to get our food. Strike two.
I ordered the Filet Mignon. It's impossible to screw that up. It's so tender and thick. I ordered mine very rare. 30 seconds a side, you're done. Well wouldn't you know it, they severely overcooked my steak to a medium. How talented do you have to be to overcook a Filet Mignon from very rare to medium? The mashed potatoes had hard chunks in them. Someone lost interest half way through the job. Strike three.
The experience was terrible. I gave them back their coupon. We'll NEVER go back and we'll tell everyone to save their money. Much better restaurants are right down the street.
