The food at Cougar Mountain is delicious, and the rustic mountain eatery provides a wonderful atmosphere. Despite some negative reviews, it's important to understand the challenges faced by a small business in a mountain town that may have limited inventory. The owners and staff go above and beyond to provide a great dining experience, making it a worthwhile stop when passing through the area.

The only reason I could even give this restaurant one star is because our waitress was nice and I liked the antiques. But, sorry to say, it was the most disgusting meal I have ever eaten. I had a hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes with gravy and corn. The gravy was very bland. My husband had a hamburger, which was only ok. The water was really bad well water also.
