I am SO sorry I did not read reviews of this place before my wife and I ventured out. I had the French Onion Soup as recommended by my server. "The best their is" she said. WRONG! It was so watered down, very few onions and I don't know what kind of seasonings they used but it did not work.
I ordered the ribs. Again, as suggested by my waitress/bartender. She was actually doing both parts at the same time. Ribs arrived semi warm. The sauce was barely likable. And fall off the bone?? Maybe with a sledge hammer. Very poor quality (and believe me, I'm a RIB eater). When I explained my disappointment to my server/bartender, she was less than empathetic to me. Then, the manager came over and asked how everything was. I explained to him my concerns and even showed him how tough the ribs were. His comment and I quite "I'm gonna go talk to the cook to see that doesn't happen anymore" Well, that's great but what about me?? Upon paying my bill - the server/bartender actually had the audacity to say "well, maybe next time you come in the food will be better". I don't think so cookie. Not from this family. There's too many GOOD places to eat in Tampa to waste my money here.
My suggestion - go to Chili's, Outback, Longhorn or any of the other GREAT eating places in and around Tampa and STAY FAR FAR AWAY from this place. The sub par food mixed in with the lack of caring employees all the way to the manager leads me to believe this place won't be in business long. And I know I will not need to stand by and say "Why did they close?"

The food and atmosphere were good, however, the meal did not come with a salad and when we got the bill I was floored! Like really? We are avid customers of Cody's and have never paid that much. This place is not going to stay in business unless they change some things.
