Every time I swing through Cle Elum, I make a beeline for the bakery where the smell of fresh bread hits you like a warm hug. Their donuts, especially the apple fritter and maple bar (bacon-topped, if you're brave enough), never fail to satisfy my sweet tooth, while the cozy, farmhouse vibe makes you feel like you've stepped into a delicious little time capsule. Just a heads up: get there early or risk missing out on the best pastries, because by afternoon, the shelves look like a tasty war zone!
