My partner and I stopped in again yesterday and had a second very pleasing meal. This place is a country gem and a cut above what you find in most of rural Illinois. If you are traveling toward Kankakee/Chicago, consider eating at this place to avoid the crush of people. You will get fresh, excellently prepared large portions at a reasonable (or even low) price. Goodly sized menu, too. We will return when out birdwatching, and the early morning food is reputedly good to
