Always a great experience

Food is wonderful. Service is impeccable. However, almost did not go into the restaurant because it looks like an abandoned warehouse from the exterior. Desperately in need of outdoor plants and benches; Italian-hued paint job on upper half of building would inform you of its Italian nature. Too bad no one passing by can tell this is a great, upscale restaurant.

We love, love Tony's but we don't go there as often as we used to because of the prices. My husband use to go 4 times a month for years. They need to face reality...people just can't afford those prices and little portions.

We miss you though.

I have worked at multiple Mungo's locations and I have eaten a lot of Tony's delicious menu items over the years. I can tell you that portions have decreased and prices have more than mildly increased with the pace of our local economy. But if you want to save a couple of bucks and sacrifice flavor and service, then feel free to drive to the other side of the river. I personally will be enjoying a Beef or Chicken Soto with a Mungo salad and side of eggplant parm without the hassle of driving over the crappy state of Missouri.......

Mungo's used to be thee best Italian food this side of the river. WHAT the heck happened Tony? Your scrimping on the food and charging way too much. Your waiters are the best, they make you feel like a princess and take good care of you. You have let your kitchen go, even your salad isn't the same, go back to your old recipe cards and give your patrons a break on the high prices....times are tough. Never let the quality of the food go by scrimping on the ingredients. Go back to those old recipes and go back to the restaurant you once were, your patrons will come back and those that have been coming to you for years will appreciate that you have gone back to what you once were. Wishing for a renewed Mungo's.
