Worked with the Room 43 staff for an all Black inspired wedding. Great times, great space. Had a 2016 prom here, on the smaller side. The open space can be transformed in any way you like. Owners are nice and professional, had tables set up just as requested before our event started. Able to start set up 2 hours before event, which was a big plus! Attended two events at this location, both were great. Staff is friendly and professional, room can be transformed to fit any theme. Room 43 is a classy place, perfect for small events. Ample street parking in quiet, secluded area. Used it for a formal event for school, old yet modern feel with character. Very well done, staff was great! Cozy and spacious room with plenty of tables and room for a dance floor. Good food, would recommend for hosting an affair. Best reception hall and event destination spot in the Kenwood-Oakland/Bronzeville neighborhood on Chicago's South Side. Owner Norman Bolden renovated this building into the perfect event space. Loft-style charm with split-level, open floor plan and gleaming mahogany floors. Rental rates are reasonable, variety of chairs and tables included. Onsite staff is incredibly helpful, facilities manager Richard is great. Easily accessible from North or South, plenty of street parking. Can't bring your own liquor, cash bar unless you pay for a tab. Recommend Room 43 for quality, service, and location. An emerging destination spot representing the best of the community. Would not hesitate to give them my business again.
