The Good in Rockford! There egg rolls are world famous! The food is always awesome and fresh! Best Secret in Rockford!

I like the food here but theres no menu that i can find online. : (

I think they have good food. Unlike the other review, I think the egg rolls are great and definitely the best thing on the menu.

Four of us decided to go to the Royal Dragon,as we had not been there for many years.
There were several cars out in front as we entered. (Usually no cars there at all, but still open).
The dining room was decorated in the traditional Chinese decorations.
The person waiting on us was an older Chinese lady with no personality at all. Not for a waitress. She took our order, then disappeared, leaving us to believe she was also the cook. Only saw her and another lady the whole dining experience.
I had bad vibes. My food was delivered, and the egg rolls were the worst ever, unable to eat them. Cooked in old grease, and the food tasted old.
The chicken with pea pods was also old tasting, with no flavor. The chicken had lots of fat on it and the soy sauce has no taste either. It appeared watered down. I was so afraid I would end up with a stomach or food poisoning that night. But somehow I survived the night. The steamed rice and the rolls served at beginning of the dinner seemed to be the only edible food.
However my sister and a friend of ours ate their dinners. And said they were okay. but my friend said the mustard sauce for the egg rolls was old, and had no zip to it.
The food was not cheap, and we all decided we would never go back there again.
The restaurant was great food ...25 yrs ago. But it has seen its better day, as was old and needed fixing up as well.
Surprised it is not closed. Best to just remember when it was good....long ago.
