After noticing Sammie's while passing by frequently since my recent move, I finally decided to visit with my son for a meal last night. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff and the cozy dive atmosphere of the restaurant. The extra meat gyro sandwich was generously filled and delicious, while my son enjoyed his Chicago style hot dog, although the Kelly green pickle relish was a bit unusual for me. If you're in the Round Lake Beach area and craving a satisfying gyro or hot dog, give Sammie's a try for a tasty meal and welcoming service!
