Growing up in the area, I have countless memories of sneaking out of school to grab a classic Chicago hot dog wrapped in fresh-cut, never frozen fries, all served with that signature natural casing snap. Even after moving away, nothing beats coming back for their loaded dogs, excellent gyros, and cherry Pepsi, where the friendly service and genuine care make every bite a nostalgic taste of home.

I've been a regular at Scotty's for decades, cherishing memories of sneaking away from high school lunches to enjoy their classic Chicago hot dogs with friends. The fresh-cut homemade fries wrapped up with a loaded dog in a greasy paper bag bring me right back to my childhood. Despite moving away, I always make sure to visit Scotty's when I'm back in town for some nostalgic comfort food that Detroit just can't replicate.
