HORRIBLY RUDE SERVICE---I've been a South side resident for 30 years and I have been to Souzy's countless times growing up. Their food is average.-nothing to rave about, nothing to complain about. Recently, I took my 6 year old son to the restaurant with a friend who has a three year daughter. We ordered dinner, ate, and were in line to purchase ice cream for the children when my friend's daughter started playing with my son. She has quite a high pitched scream and let out a couple playful yelps. My friend immediately corrected her and told her to stand next to her. The employee at Souzy's looked over the customers she was attending to and said, "You know, you're going to have to quiet those kids down. They can't do that in here." This is understandable. I replied, "Of course." My friend replied, "I just corrected her." The woman then replied," Well, it's not working." I was really shocked that she would feel it necessary to respond like that. My friend got upset and we decided to go get ice cream somewhere else.
To make matters worse, my friend called the next day and tried to address the situation and was repeatedly hung up on by the employee, who told her, " I don't have time for this." My friend spoke with the owner and was offered no apology.
I've been a local my whole life and am so disappointed to have been treated like this. I understand that its not a playground, and for the sake of all of their patrons, kids can not get unruly. However, with that being said, it is supposed to be a family place- it's not Gibsons, for crying out loud. The employee and owner at Souzy's were so incredibly rude and handled the situation so poorly that I will never bring my kids there again.
