I ate once at the Blue's restaurant, and it wasn't a bad experience. So, when my student organization needed catering for an event, we considered Blue's. If we could have predicted the future sequence of events, we would have never done so.
Where should we begin the string of problems we had? First, we used Blue's online-posted prices to get a feel for how much our order would cost. On the day that we were to have the catering delivered, we called to confirm and found out the quoted price was $100 over what we were anticipating. The staff person was of no assistance, and we had to wait for a call back from the manager--who is never there, by the way.
We finally talked to her and she was willing to accommodate our pricing concerns because they were in the midst of a "pricing system change" and the old prices were still on the website. Problem solved? No. I had to leave my credit card number with one of her staff. A day later we get a call that she can't read her staff member's handwriting and I'll have to call her back with my credit card number.
One call. Two calls. She never calls back. I'm finally lucky to call when the manager is actually there, and she says they've figured it out and my credit card was charged. And she was right...she charged it FOUR times! I discovered this on my credit card statement a few days later.
So, I call again. And again. And then finally get in touch with her two days later. She says I have to come in with my card statement and show it to her before she can fix the error. Oh, and of course, she won't be around that day, so I'll have to come tomorrow. See a pattern?
It's now the day after showing her that statement, and I've still had to call there twice today. She never left me the confirmation number of the debit to my account like she promised. This is absolutely ridiculous. Do NOT waste your time with these people. The staff is incompetent, and the manager is never around to remedy problems.
DO NOT GET CATERING FROM HERE!
