The food here is consistently delicious with generous portions, from the best chicken fingers and broasted chicken to flavorful ribs and an amazing Friday fish fry featuring Cod and Walleye. The menu offers a wide variety of options to satisfy any craving, and the knowledgeable, friendly staff go above and beyond to accommodate special requests and create personalized drinks. I can't really write a review concerning the quality of the food because I was never actually seated! My wife and I had a 7:00 p.m. reservation and we were there right on time. After waiting until 7:40 and then seeing two couples who arrived after us being seated (perhaps local dignitaries? there was a lot of glad handing going on with the waitstaff!) we decided that was all the "rude" we needed for the evening!

I love this place! I went to it when it was under different ownership even. The new owners have done a wonderful job. The food is great -served in a timely fashion and nicely presented. Flavors aren't confusing either. The new bar is a great addition! We look forward to Taco Tuesday nights with 1/2 off beer! Great job and the customer service is excellent!!

I do not usually give reviews of restaurants. But for Cafe 20 I have made an exception. This quite a delightful experiance eating at this establishment. We chanced upon it on a sunday drive and it has been a destination ever since. The food and service is something you will not find at any restaurant on State in Rockford or Randall road in Algonquin. If you have a chance to get to Marengo give Cafe 20 a whirl..
