I have eaten at this restaurant several times. In the beginning it was good food and clean staff was friendly. Now the staff is rude and the food is awful and oily. Food was cold and when asked for fresh green beans to replace the wilted oil saturated ones it took forever and yes they were also oil soaked. The place is just a heart attack waiting to happen. It is always filled with overweight over indulgent patrons. The bathroom not clean the floors not clean it has slowly become a disappointment My fiance even saw one worker in restroom not wash hands and then came out and went straight into kitchen EWW!. My last visit I went home with a stomach ache and diarrhea.

I just have a rebuttal to the review made in June by Charmeil - This restaurant does NOT charge by the pound. The lunch is only $5.99. Not sure of the price of dinner. The food is always good - no mystery meat. The chicken dishes are especially good. They even have sushi bar and one where you choose your meat/veggies and the chef cooks on grill before you. The teriyaki chicken is great as well as the Korean chicken.

DE CORAL BUFFET IN DANVILLE, IL WAS ONCE A NICE PLACE WITH GOOD FOOD...BUT NOW THEY ARE DESPERATELY HANGING ON WITH BAD SERVICE AND OFF AND ON GOOD FOOD..MOSTLY OFF.. FOOD IS VERY OILY TOO MUCH COOKING OIL AND NOW THEY ARE CHARGING BY THE POUND FOR THE BUFFET AND IF YOU DON'T DOUBLE CHECK YOUR BILL THEY WILL OVER CHARGE YOU. AND DOUBLE CHECK YOUR CHANGE, THEY WILL SHORT YOU, AND THEN DENY THEY SHORTED YOU YOUR CHANGE.I RECENTLY WENT AND HAD THIS HAPPEN TO ME . I GAVE THE CASHIER A TWENTY SHE GAVE ME $1.43 BACK, I TOLD HER I GAVE HER A TWENTY, SHE DENIED IT, I SAID COUNT YOUR BANK, AND SHE SAID WILL COUNT IT TONIGHT, I SAID NO YOU NEED TO DO IT NOW, SHE REFUSED AND SD WILL COUNT TONIGHT AND TAKE CARE OF TOMORROW..I WAS MAD , I LEFT AND CHECK BACK IN THE NEXT DAY. OF COURSE SHE CLAIMED NOT OVER..I GET NO MONEY BACK...I SAID HAVE YOUR RESTAURANT BECAME SO DESPERATE THAT YOU ARE RIPPING YOUR CUSTOMERS OFF WITH THE PRICES AND KEEPING THEIR CHANGE TOO. SHE SAID BUSINESS DROPPING NOT MAKING LOT OF MONEY..I TOLD HER I SEE WHY AND IF SHE KEEPS DOING THIS TO OTHER PEOPLE, THEY WILL BE OUT OF BUSINESS SOON.......I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO DE CORAL EVER..AND THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE. I FED TO THE OUTSIDE ANIMALS THEY HAD A BUFFET FOR 18.43 AT LEAST THE RACCOONS AND CATS ENJOYED IT. I AM URGING EVERYONE I KNOW AND EVERYONE I MEET NOT TO EAT AT DE CORAL BUFFET
