The changes made at this establishment have truly made a positive impact - the customer service has improved significantly and the food is now delicious. I particularly enjoy the gorditas here, they are exceptionally tasty and I find myself ordering them repeatedly. Despite the slight chill indoors, the consistent quality of the food and service at this Mexican eatery in Elgin makes it a worthwhile choice for a satisfying meal.

I've enjoyed other El Faros and have no problem with them, but there is something wrong with this one. Unless you know you will be within 10 seconds of a toilet for the hour or two after eating there, don't, if you know what I mean. I don't know why I keep returning - maybe I forget - but it has happened 5 or 6 times. Never again.
