Food has no flavor, but wanted to have margaritas on the patio. Nope! You can’t sit out there. Even for just a Margarita. Wasted thousands of dollars on that patio and the signs that say, “Patio Open!” What a joke!

My wife and I dined in this, my favorite restaurant today, 04/15/ 2001 for lunch. It was in the 50's outside with a brisk north wind outside. The air conditioning was set on freeze meat. My wife was freezing even with my jacket and her flannel sh-t on. Our hot food, which normally stays warm got cold very quickly. We expressed our discomfort to our waitress. She told "the manager". He or she turned it down a little bit. We were able to stay and finish out meal, But still we had to wonder. I spent my career in outdoor agricultural work and heating and cooling. My work day was miserably cold in the winter and miserably hot in the summer. I feel as if the manager today set the air conditioning for the comfort of the kitchen employees. In my business experience I quickly learned that the indoor comfort is for the residents. A restaurant should be focused on the comfort of its customers rather than that of its employees. You cannot make a living comforting your employees and discomforting your customers. I've always considered El Jalapeno in Anna, Illinois my favorite restaurant. But today's experience has me wondering who's comfort is most important? My wife wants to reiterate that the temperature should be set for the customers over the employees rather than the help. As a former HVAC professional this is a technical problem between the establishment and their HVAC company. Assuming that my favorite restaurant wants to stay in existence.
