I try to go here for a lime margarita and El Rancherito salad at least once a week - twice if possible. I find the food to be good and service speedy. There are chips and salsa while you wait, though its usually a very brief wait.

OK here is the real truth! This was the worst mexican food I have EVER (NOT) eaten. I am originally from California and I know what real, authentic mexican food is and this isn't it! Three of our group got combination plates with several different items and I can tell you that the burrito, taco and enchiladas all come with the same bland sloppy joe type runny meat and the Chile Relleno which is supposed to be a cheese filled green chili dipped in whipped egg whites and fried, then covered in ranchera sauce and topped with melted cheese...well, what I go was this same sloppy joe meat with a piece of a green chile covered with a not so melted hunk of government cheese that didn't even get melted. THERE IS NO MEAT IN CHILE RELLENO!!!!! No one in my party ate more than 1/3 of their dish. This is a huge red flag hopefully to the owner, that his food sucks! Notice that all of the other reviews all included how good the drinks were, which I have no doubt is why they didn't notice the food is horrible!

The food is not bad. It seems to be one of the hot spots for college students, especially during the margarita specials and live mariachi band. The service is pretty good for the most part. However, when large parties are present, it seems that some waitresses/waiters have a hard time multi-tasking. Overall, this is not a bad place to eat, but the prices run a bit higher than the the Mexican eatery across town on the east side.
