During my two-night stay in Altoona, I went to the Black & Gold Tavern both evenings and loved the delicious club sandwiches and wonderful fish. The service was friendly and fast, with Sherry the bartender and the regulars making the atmosphere warm and welcoming. After riding my bike all the way from Emporium just to eat there, I can say the excellent wings, good drinks, and lively vibe made it an experience I'll definitely repeat.

The Black & Gold Tavern in Altoona offers great food at reasonable prices with a friendly staff. The club sandwiches and fish dishes are particularly delicious, making it a worthwhile dining option while in town. The bartenders, like Sherry, are super nice, and the atmosphere is welcoming with pool tables and happy patrons, creating a pleasant experience that will have me returning next time I'm in Altoona.
