This is my go-to for hibachi and sushi; the food is always fantastic and the chefs are super entertaining. The new decor looks amazing, and even though the service was a bit slow on opening day, I can't wait to come back for more delicious meals.

I have never had as poor of service as I have had at Shogun. The waitress was not knowledgeable of the menu and did not understand what we were trying to order. After realizing the waitress wrote down the orders incorrectly, we had to point to what we were trying to order. It took 30 minutes to get the edamame that we ordered as an appetizer. Finally when three people's orders came, two of them were incorrect. The waitress identified all the sushi orders incorrectly and another waitress was brought over to try and help explain. The original waitress was very disrespectful and gave us attitude after we asked for her to clarify which sushi was which. One of the orders that was half correct was immediately taken from the table and not a word was said to us about what was being done. After another 20 minutes of waiting, the waitress finally stopped to check on the table. We asked when the last order would be out and she replied with a short comment. A customer asked for some hot sauce but the waitress walked away in the middle of them asking. The next time the waitress returned with food she said the name of the dish and slammed the plate on the table. The customer said thank you and the waitress responded with an eye roll. A different customer asked for the hot sauce again and the waitress proceed to walk away without acknowledging them. The incorrect meal was brought out a half hour later and was cool to the touch after being told it was supposed to be hot. The check was brought and that was completely incorrect also. We asked to see a manager and they were told about the poor service and incorrect check. They claimed that all they could do was take 10% off the meal. When we asked to speak to the manager again they were apparently at the market and the boss was in China.
