The restaurant upstairs exudes a warm, down-home atmosphere, offering classic Indiana comfort foods like chicken and noodles, sugar cream pie, and hearty breaded tenderloins that evoke a sense of nostalgia. Service was attentive and friendly, creating a welcoming environment despite some delays in meal arrival, and the lunchtime soup and salad bar provided a comforting variety. Though the buffet felt overpriced and the sugar cream pie was a disappointing texture surprise, the overall experience was pleasant, enhanced by the rustic charm of the lodge and the surrounding peaceful woods.

The lodge at the state park offers excellent service and exceptional buffet food in a classic ambiance. The restaurant, located on the second floor of the lodge, provides a variety of Indiana comfort foods like chicken and noodles, sugar cream pie, and hearty breaded tenderloins. Despite some delays with entree offerings, the overall customer service was solid, making it a pleasant dining experience during our visit to the state park.
