ever since i was a kid i have greatly enjoyed romanos pizza. people always argue deep dish verses thin crust but they are both wrong. romanos got it right; thin crust with deep toppings. i have seen sandwiches thinner than their scipio special. they are more costly than chain restaurants but it is worth it. pizzas are usually ready in 25 minutes and the owner/operator is nice and friendly; always tries to make conversation, offers a hand full of free bubble gum with each purchase and always shows gratitude when you give tips. if you live in or near scipio you know that anyone who can make enough sales to stay afloat and in business in this small town has to be doing something right.
