I use to go to Francesco's all the time when I lived on Long Island. I decided to get a taste of home for the holidays, as well as, a Christmas treat for 2 of my friends. Placed an order for one 3 lb. tray of cookies and two 1 lb. trays of cookies.
Three days later (Christmas Eve), I received the 3 lb. tray and one 1 lb. tray.
I called the bakery and asked if I should be expecting a third box (with the other 1 lb. tray) as I only received one 1 lb. tray. The answer I received was: "No, there's only 2 boxes, I screwed up the order". I was asked if I wanted a refund and I told her I would like her to ship the second tray to me. This was Christmas Eve mind you. I understand the holiday would slow shipment. Did they ship it Saturday? Nope. Did they ship it Sunday? Nope. They waited until Monday 12/28 to ship it.
Given their screw-up, they should've shipped it 2 day ground but they didn't. Its now 1/1 and I still haven't received it. They clearly shipped as cheap as possible. God only knows when ill receive it. According to UPS, the cookies have been in Uniondale for 5 days.
They didn't refund my $30.00. So, I paid full price for a 1 lb. tray of cookies that I ordered almost 2 weeks ago and I still haven't received them. So much for customer service. The assholes at Francesco's Bakery couldn't find water if the fell out of a damn boat. There are plenty of other bakeries on LI, I can give my business to. No more spending $125.00 at Francesco's. Morons!
