I used to live in Ypsi during my high school & college days. The only cake I ever wanted on my birthday was the white cake made @ Terry's Bakery. To my amazement , I just found it still existed. This year I am going to special order that White Cake with White Frosting. No cake has ever compared from anywhere in the US.
My mom made super home made cakes, but this was my special treat, a bakery cake! The other item
Terry's has that I truly enjoy are the long johns with the vanilla frosting. My husband & family were introduced to the long johns when we attended a St. Johns class reunion years ago. They all also got hooked.
I am going to call to be sure that recipe for the white cake did not change. That special frosting cannot
be duplicated ANYWHERE.
