First time here. Ordered BLT w/ fries. Fries were soaked with oil on plate. The bacon in the sandwich was dripping oil. It tasted awful. I sent it back for a Grilled Chicken tossed salad. Wow a HUGH difference. Vegetables were fresh chicken nicely grilled and crisp. No signs of any oil run off. At first I would not have came back and would have rated it a 3. After eating the salad I will come back for another try and I rate this visit a solid 4. Oh BTW possible the best sweet tea in town.

I really like the Oak Creek. Having moved from a huge suburb in North Dallas, I am am grateful to have a down home restaurant to go to in the area. Catfish is great. Burgers are kids favorite. This is not a fancy place but I love the country feel and have never had a bad meal. In Covid days it's been good stop by and get some home cooking for pick up when fam gets really tired of my cooking. Give them a try but measure your expectations. It's not a five star experience, but have always been glad they feed the family in a pinch and all are happy. .

Enjoyed the catfish. Salad bar was just ok. Nice little find.

Staff was friendly and service was fast. Food was just ok. Chicken Fried Steak was not homemade tasted like what you get at Sonic or Dairy Queen. If you like that type then you will like it. Personally I don't care for it.
