The pan de sal at Zambales Bakery is absolutely delicious. Soft, pillowy, and just the right amount of salty and sweet, I can easily devour a dozen in one sitting. The banana bread is also a standout, always fresh and moist. Located within Vinh Hung Supermarket, it might be a bit tricky to find, so look for the sign that says "Julia's Desserts & Bakery". And if you can't make it to the bakery itself, you can also find their products at Seafood City in San Diego and Los Angeles, or Lucky Seafood in Mira Mesa - but nothing beats getting them fresh from the oven at Zambales Bakery. Their hopia is a must-try, especially the baboy flavor, and the buko pie brings back memories of the Philippines - it's almost as good as buying directly from stores in Tagaytay. Although Seafood City in National City sells their hopia at a higher price, the quality is worth it.
