My great grandfather, my father and uncles always ate here from the 1930s to around 1960 and always a local spot for neighborhood people only.. I went in there as a child. Different times today never see those glorious times again with old generation of owners. It's all gone .Only famous people and well connected people now . Very good food always.

The Italian restaurant in the city serves impeccable veal and perfectly al dente homemade pasta. Among my top picks are the linguine with clams and veal with roasted peppers. The dining experience at Rao's exceeded my expectations with friendly staff, delicious family-style dishes, and a warm ambiance.

Always great food and service

Glad it still in the neighborhood as a landmark.Recipes are still very good. I have to stay with the supermarket Raos sauce and meals..My family lives around the corner going back to early 1900s and we are not able to walk in and dine here . Same with other oong time original residents from in the neighborhood when it was Italian Harlem. It was better with the old generation was being around. All are gone with the good old days.Unfortunately Only rich,celebrity royalty politically connected, famous status people allowed now.
