I would give zero stars if it were possible. We hired Pasticcini to do our wedding cake. We went in and met with Denise, showed her the picture we were looking to duplicate and left feeling good. We were going to make one minor tweak, the gold would be ribbon and would be on all three layers, but otherwise it would be exact (with the top two layers being coconut). The morning of my wedding, Denise calls me and says she’s having trouble breaking up the white on the cake and was going to send a picture to see what I wanted to do. She sent a picture and it looked absolutely nothing like the cake we asked for. To call a bride on the morning of her wedding with a cake that looks like a child made it is unacceptable. We let her know we weren’t happy with it, I asked her to take the coconut off the bottom layer cause that’s not what we had discussed and she stated “I regret calling you, I should have just delivered it.” When the cake was delivered, she booked it in and out not saying anything to anyone. The cake looked horrible. My florist saw how upset I was about the cake being so far off, she did her best to put some flowers on it and make it look a little better. Everyone was shocked when they saw how bad the cake looked. We paid $775 for a cake that looks like I went to stop and shop and slapped some cakes together. When I called and asked for a partial refund, she told me she thought her cake was beautiful and didn’t care that I didn’t love it and refused to give me any money back. Do yourself a favor, there are a MILLION other bakeries around. Don’t let Pasticcini waste your time.
