I usually steer clear of touristy things, but this event was a fantastic experience. The planes, despite being over 50 years old, felt solid and well cared for, and our pilot was super skilled and informative. The scenery was breathtaking, even on a cloudy day, and the salmon lunch at the lodge was delicious-definitely a highlight of my trip!

While I typically steer clear of tourist activities, this event truly captivated me. The vintage planes, each boasting over 50 years of history, exude a sense of sturdy craftsmanship and meticulous upkeep that is truly impressive. Despite the cloudy, rainy weather typical of fall in Alaska, the experience was undeniably beautiful and intriguing, offering a unique perspective of glaciers and coastlines that left me in awe.
