The cafe operates on a cash-only basis with a self-service pastry section, though prices are not posted anywhere. The pastries are light and airy, tamales flavorful with a good meat-to-masa ratio, and the coffee is among the best in the area; the staff, a husband and wife team, provide friendly and efficient service, carefully packing orders for takeout.

I stopped by this cash-only spot on 161 and grabbed four pastries, two tamales, and the best black coffee in Columbus for $14 to go. The husband and wife duo behind the counter were a well-oiled team, ensuring a smooth pastry purchasing process and packing everything carefully for me to enjoy later.
