Was very disappointed in my meal tonight. They were very unprepared for serving food. Food not ready had to pick substitute which I was very unhappy with did not care for it at all. The steak was smaller than usual and so very much fat too Ant blame the waitresses but can blame management and the food preparers

We just ate at Big Ed's Steak House in Thayer. Ks. Wonderful food and we had the most cheerful little blond for a waitress. She was very good at her job, got right to us to get our drinks and take our order. Our food was prepared fast and was very good. My husband had a butt steak and I had mountain oysters. Both were expertly prepared and scrumptious! Can't wait to come back. I had so much leftover I had to get a To go box. Thanks Big Ed's for our wonderful food and dining experience..Thanks for our great little waitress. We will be back!😊 6/17/16

My family ate at Big Eds tonight. We had eaten there a few months ago and raved how wonderful the service and food was. I was not impressed with the decor (which was zero) and almost walked out but stuck it out because it came with big promises of how good it was. And It was fabulous. However, we returned with our entire family boasting how wonderful this restaurant was and to our dismay, it was the worst food, service and atmosphere I had ever had. McDonalds would have outdone them tonight. Paying 28.00 per plate on steaks weren't worth two cents. The waitress and service was slow. We will never return to Big Eds and I strongly encourage anyone driving by to seriously think twice before spending 150.00, go to the store, you will be much more satisfied.

My husband is very picky about his steak and this is the best around. On Sat night they have steak and all you can eat shrimp. The shrimp is big, the baked potatoes are huge. Definitely worth trying. Can go on either side but if you want to buy alcohol you have to buy a membership.

Big Ed's is The Steakhouse in Southeast Kansas. Folks drive in from all over and the place is always packed. His steaks can't be beat and the folks there are very friendly. Check them out on Facebook also! When you vist - tell them you saw their web site.
