My husband and I make a special trip to Kara's for their jalapeño sausages and Chicago tamales. We've been loyal customers for years, starting back in college when my parents introduced me to their delicious meats.

If you buy polish sausages here, you will definitely be able to tell them apart from grocery store brands. A step above!

This is a gem that has a very humble looking exterior. The inside is decent, but the food is very good and prices are fair. The staff is very nice and they are helpful, I've purchased several things to take home, based on their input. Wish they were closer to the East Gate, but it is definitely worth the drive to get to Kara's.

What an incredible and historical gem! Quality offerings and very unique foods! The hospitality is amazing too! Definitely go see Kara's!
