During a recent trip, my partner and I found ourselves unexpectedly in Hixton after our car broke down. While searching for food, we entered Brookside Tavern, where the staff warmly welcomed us despite the late hour and quickly reignited the grill just for us. We enjoyed delicious burgers and generous drinks at incredibly low prices, and the kindness we received truly restored my faith in humanity, leaving us grateful for the experience.
