The Moby Dick location in Fern Creek, Kentucky offers delicious fried fish, onion rings, and hush puppies that are cooked to perfection, with efficient service and friendly staff despite a lack of conversation, making it a worthwhile stop for fast seafood in an unassuming setting.

On 8/23/22, my mom had just gotten out of the ER, and she wanted something to eat. She chose Moby Dick, and we went to the Fern Creek Location at 7.51pm. She ordered 2 First Mate Meals, and the ticket came to $17.79 (ticket A50/invoice 220823-02-50). Please not my mother is 74 years old with grey hair. The nest customer was a white male, the young man with large dark frame glasses (he refused to provide his name) or the name of the blond-haired cook, who seemed to be in charge, who took the order offered him the senior discount, but did not offer the same discount to my mom. While the cashier took other orders our food was put in the window. It took over 7 minutes for the cashier to bag our food. The cook came out to assist cashier, he was having a difficult time trying to figure out the correct amount of change. Finally, the customer felt bad and gave him the coins so he could just give him dollar bills. He still did not bag our food. Finally, the cashier starts to bag our food and drops 3 large fries, not many are given as it is. I told the cashier I needed him to replace the fries. The cook was very annoyed that I asked and went to cook more fries; 3 fries exactly and he thought it was funny even after our food sat in the window. I asked for their names and to whom did I need to file a complaint too and they would not provide the information. Several Moby Dicks have gone out of business, you would think they would provide customer service. I guess it is difficult when there were only kids in the store. I will not return to this location.

went for take out at moby dick and it was absolutely awful! I spent 35.57 for food that was cold and the fish tasted like it was re cooked. I tried to call and talk to the manager and never got a response! Trust me it is not worth the time or the money to go here, apparently no one cares what you spend or how the food is sent out! Avoid this place at all costs!

I visited this restaurant on Dec. 27, 2008. I witnessed the young man taking money in the drive-thru and then begin preparing food without washing his hands nor wearing gloves. (I should've demanded my money back and walked out but I didn't). Once my fish was finished cooking, the same young gentleman touched my bread without gloves, laid my bare sandwich on the counter and put the receipt on top of the sandwich. This is unacceptable and I don't think the Health Dept would approve of this restaurant preparing food the way in which I witnessed. There have been rumors that this restaurant isn't very clean, but now I know! Never again will I purchase anything from this particular Moby Dick!
