I am a native Breathitt Countian that now lives in Lexington. When I lived in Jackson we ate at Variety Pizza almost every week, they have the best food in Jackson. We especially like the ham hoagies and their fudge. We would spend like $20 just on their fudge alone. We miss Variety pizza a lot, I remember going with my parents to the restaurant when I was a little kid, and it was great and I am now 40, now my kids love going there as much as I did when I was little. Just goes to show you how long his place has been around and what a gem Jackson has. We stop in and eat every time we are back home, which sadly enough is not very often, I haven't been to Jackson in over two years and we miss it very much. We love Jackson, but there just isn't enough good paying jobs there for everyone and most folks have to move away. For the ones who are still there I really envy you, love you and wish you the very best. I love and miss the people there in Jackson and wished I could come home and raise my family, but the resources are just not there. God bless ALL BREATHITT COUNTIANS, GO TIGERS and BOBCATS!!!!!!!!

We drive 2 hours on way just to get a ham hoagie from Variety Pizza, then bring a couple back with on top of the visit there to reheat and eat later. This place is the Jewel of Jackson.
