I stopped by for the lunch buffet while visiting for a fishing trip and was thoroughly impressed! The staff was excellent, and the salad bar, fried fish, fries, and hush puppies were outstanding. I couldn't resist going back for breakfast the next day and it was just as good. Can't wait to return and enjoy more of their delicious food and great service!

Seafood here is consistently good. Best seafood restaurant on Toledo Bend!

Our family of 5 has eaten at this restaurant on several occasions but we do not plan to return after today. My husband had seafood buffet (everything fried). Three kids & mom ordered off of menu. Food is always mediocre at best & tonight much of it was cold when brought out. Salad bar was poor as well. The menu has always been overpriced, too. We received one refill of drinks each. When ticket was placed on table, the total included 15% gratuity which amounted to about $13.00. There was no notice posted anywhere in regards to mandatory gratuity being charged & the food & service definitely did not deserve it. Evidently this place thinks more of it's self than it should! Instead of paying with a card as I normally do, my family all pitched in the cash to pay the amount without the added gratuity & I casually placed it next to the register as no one was there when we left. Hope they get the message from this unhappy customer!!

We paid for 2 buffets @ $15.99 'Saturday night June 28th' and I grilled Shrimp dinner @ $11.99..
The buffet 'which was all FRIED FOOD except for a small pan of baked fish. fried catfish, fried oysters, fried fake crab cakes, fried fake stuffed shrimp, fried frog legs, fried popcorn shrimp, fried hush puppies, and some kind do seafood dressing that was pretty much burnt tasting. We arrived at the restaurant about 8ish which was winding down from the dinner rush. No matter the time arriving as long as it's in the hours of serving-- EVERY BIT of the food was I ether OVERCOOKED or EXTREMELY GREASY and the Grilled Shrimp dinner we order was far from being 'GRILLED'. No matter how busy the employees are--- The salad bar was the messiest salad bar we have ever seen. The employees was over filling the containers onto the ice and it was a BIG mess. All I have to say is next time 'if we attempt to give another visit' we will order off the menu in hopes of seeing an eye catching plate instead of plate full of GREASY FRIED food. As we were leaving we found our server out side sitting on the bench right at the exit door-----SMOKING! $ 47.00 down the drain... :(

If you're used to big-city restaurants, you may be a bit surprised at how laid back it is at Fishermans. However, a great way to gauge the quality of food at a small town restaurant is to check out how many cars are parked outside during meal hours. This is the only restaurant in this area that ALWAYS has a packed parking lot. (Unlike other restaurants nearby.) I've had better seafood, yes --- but you get what you pay for. Almost every entree on the menu is under ten dollars. However, the best way to go at this place is to get the dishes unique to Louisiana, like the etouffe and jumbalaya. The chicken fried steak is pretty good to, as are the fried pickles and corn nuggets. It's definitely a great down-home place to grab a meal.

This is absolutely the worst seafood restaurant. The food was disgusting and way overcooked. Management was so rude and demanded we pay for the food even though we didn't eat. We tasted it and were ready to leave. I would recommend saving your money. Fast Food is better than this place.
