Well it looks like the poster with the big group was right...

We also tried to get in with a party of 3 at 8:35 one night and was turned around.

Apparently they turned away too many customers because they went out of business in 2010. Sad because the food was always amazing even with the slow service.

I must address the ridiculous bad review from the person of a large group going to The Landing at 8:38 pm and expect to be happily accepted. I believe that the people at the resturants have lives and would like to be able to go home at a decent hour. To be waited on in twenty minutes in a large party is unrealistic. The atmosphere is supposed to be relaxed. If the owner was there, he would have sent you away also. Try going to McDonals next time.

My uncle owns it and out of all he times ive eatin there i thuought it was wonderful even if i am family.

Amazing says it all. Food is great. prices are reasonable for menu items and staff treat you great as well. It;s a fried seafood paradise.

The stars say it all. A great restaurant, absolutely excellent food, a good family atmosphere and above all, clean...did I say clean? Quality food and professional in approach....I like it.!! :)

I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT "THE FOOD IS AWARD WINNING, THE STAFF IS FANTASTIC!" THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT NEW IBERIA NEEDS TO COMPLIMENT OUR BEAUTIFUL TOWN. TO THE GENTLEMEN WHOM TRIES TO EAT SUPPER AFTER 8:30 Please consider that this is a family owned and operated facility and just maybe they enjoy going to spend time with their family at a decent hour. Also just in case you haven't ever been in business, it doesn't just shut down and everyone goes home there is A GREAT DEAL of preparation that goes into running a "quality" restaurant, before during and after hours! Maybe you should give this place one more chance before you rule so harshly on it, Thank-You......I ALSO WANT TO SAY I AM NOT AN OWNER OR RELATED TO ANY OWNERS OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Excellent food, menu choices, great location on the Bayou Teche. Friendly and attentive waitress (Tasha), staff. Very clean, well appointed interior. We own/operate a B&B in New Iberia and do not hesitate to recommend The Landing to our guests for dining. Our guests praise the cuisine highly....and so do we.

I love that our New Iberia has added this wonderful family resturant! The service was impecable! I have eaten there several times now and love the appetizers.The alligator is the best in New Iberia.Tender and it just melts in your mouth. My children love to go so that they can stroll on the bayou. Thier is so many family members that work there and it just makes it that more special! I love that is also open all week includ. Sundays. We dont have to travel as much now to Lafayette. Thank You Broughton Family!!!

I give this restaurant less than a year to stay open.
Tried to eat there tonight with a large group and during the day I called to ask their hours... I was told they are open until 9:00 p.m. We arrived at 8:38 p.m. and was told the kitchen closed at 8:30 p.m. Now correct me if I am wrong but I have worked in the restaurant business for many years and if customers walked in one minute before closing we did not turn them away no matter how large or small the group was.

As we were leaving after being turned away we met up with four gentlemen in suits and when they saw we were turned away--they left also.

I estimate the sixteen people in our group and the four other gentlemen would have at least generated a couple hundred dollars of revenue if and only if everyone spent only ten dollars.

I guess this is another reason there is a lack of restaurants in New Iberia.

A very nice place for lunch or dinner. The place is very clean and very well designed. The food is excellent and the service is suburb. Excellent for business luncheons or just casual dining. The food and value for the meal is outstanding. May be New Iberia’s best kept secret for now.
