Sunny's in Church Point has the best fried chicken around, drawing me all the way from Lafayette just to savor their delicious biscuits and multigenerational recipes. The food is real and hearty, just like a home-cooked meal, and the atmosphere feels like a local gathering place where you're treated like family. Despite occasional minor hiccups with orders and varied customer service experiences, the quality of the fried chicken, shrimp, and chicken livers make Sunny's a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Southern comfort food.

Do not EVER visit this eatery EVER AGAIN. They openly and brazenly defied an order from the Governor to NOT serve customers indoors-rather to prepare food for take-out/delivery ONLY. They were caught with people eating indoors AFTER they were ordered to STOP. Do. Not. Patronize. A business that would defy orders and put customers at great risk is NOT a business any person should visit. EVER.
