One of the best places I've tried for pizza. The crust is always perfectly baked and the toppings are delicious. The Italian food here is definitely worth a try if you're in the area.

A rather average pizza with below average service. It was worth a try but I won't go again.

I was very disappointed in my last trip to Gio's Pizza and Spaghetti House in Metairie. Last night, a group of 5 of us went to Gio's for dinner. Some of us haven't seen each other in a month. We took up one of the larger tables. The 2 similar larger tables were taken and one of the smaller tables was occupied. All other tables were empty. As we were finishing up our meal, another large group came in. A waitress (not our waitress) tells the group, "I'm going to put you at that table in 5 minutes". She comes over to our table and starts to clear our dishes. We continue to talk. Not Our Waitress comes over, gives us our bill, takes our payment, and goes tell the group waiting, "I'm going to put you at that table. They are almost finished". My father continues to talk to his friend he has seen in a month and Not Our Waitress comes over and asks us if we mind that she takes this table to sit this group waiting. I told her that I did mind and that she was extremely rude.

If we had just gotten there also, what would she have done with the group waiting??? Would she have hovered over one of the other larger tables until one of them left?? What if we would have ordered dessert? Would she have told us: Oh no, you're going to have to take that to go, I need this table?

After driving 30-45 minutes to have dinner there, I was absolutely insulted. I felt like we were being rushed and forced to leave. There was no reason 2 of the other tables could not have been put together to accommodate the group waiting. We were forced to continue our visit with friends standing in the parking lot.
