After stepping off the airboat, it took less than ten minutes to find this charming outdoor eatery nestled right on the shipping channel, where picnic tables under a covered dock offer a front-row seat to barges and boats gliding by. The catfish po'boy was perfectly crispy yet moist, paired wonderfully with hot, fresh fries and refreshingly sweet tea that was eagerly refilled throughout the meal by the attentive, kind staff. Despite operating out of a temporary pavilion due to storm damage, the flavorful Cajun dishes, warm hospitality, and beautiful waterfront scenery made for an unforgettable dining experience.

The food at Jan's was really good, even though they are still building their restaurant. We enjoyed the catfish po'boy and hamburger, along with hot and fresh fries, all while sitting at picnic tables on a covered dock by the shipping channel. Watching the boats pass by added to the cool experience.
