Growing up around here, I can tell you the shrimp and oyster combo is unbeatable-I tried saving half for later, but ended up devouring the whole thing because it was just that good. When my sister visited from California, we skipped all the tourist traps and landed here for some authentic Cajun flavors, enjoying po-boys and gumbo that packed serious flavor without emptying the wallet. The friendly, familiar service and perfectly fried shrimp on fresh buns keep me coming back, and it's the kind of spot where the locals know your name and the food always hits the mark.
