First I want to say the food was outstanding. It was my first time eating at Irene's. Which was recommended by my Fiance, who has eaten there several times and loves Irene's and my sales manager. We were celebrating my Fiance's Birthday, which I specified in the special instructions when making my reservation. The staff celebrated several birthdays, with tables around us, But never acknowledged my Fiance's. It was embarrassing for me, to say the least. Each time the staff came out to celebrate someone's birthday, I was hoping it would be our table. Our server appeared to be more interested in his larger tables all night and seemed to rush our special night. When ordering appetizers our server said we had to order our appetizers and entrees together, per instructions from the chef. That was a first for both of us, never in our 40 something years of dining out, have we been told that. The food came out (appetizers and entree) together within minutes of ordering. We had to ask for bread and it was just not the romantic experience we both were wanting and hoping for!!! It's a shame how our wonderful anticipation and expectations of our dining experience with Irene's turned to a Big Disappointment!!!
