The food is always excellent, so is the service, but last Sarurday my Daughter and Son in law from Oklahoma City were here for my Granddaughter's graduation. My Son in law is a pretty picky eater so we went to Whistle Stop for lunch. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and about half way through, I bit into a piece of, what appeared to be, Saran Wrap. I opened the other half and found another piece of clear plastic. When the waiter came back to the table I showed him the pieces of plastic and told hm he needed to show them to the cook. He said he would and that was the last time it was mentioned. I actually thought a manager would at least come by and apologize for the plastic in the food, but it didn't happen.

Fried Green tomatoes were ROCK had, the ribs were burnt, my sons fries were cold! And then they charged us $60! My family will NEVER eat there again and we are going to let everyone know!!

Don't believe any of the poor reviews. They occasionally run out of items because it is all so good! No one wants left over BBQ . Their ribs and brisket are the best. The sides are tasty but their is no need for large portions when the BBQ is so good.
Laurie is the most gracious hostess and will insure your dining experience is second to none. We visit Searcy from Nashville often and always make sure we eat at Whistle stop while there. It's the best.

Husband went in to order a "to go" order. They informed him since there was only 30 min. till closing, they didn't have time to do that. Won't ever go back. As it was their food isn't that great anyway.

Whistle Stop is a staple in the Searcy community. Casual, delicious dining in or fast take out for call in orders. My family and I also love ordering the brisket for large gatherings. Great fried okra and BBQ chicken.

The family that owns and runs this place is very rude and seem to be bothered by someone just walking in the door. The food is not all that good. The servings are so small its funny(a side of green beans is a small cup with 9 green beans in it).
Don't waste your money

I walked to this place with my sister from out of town to get dinner for us and our mother. It was my birthday. None of us had ever been there before. We sat in the outer foyer for well over 30 minutes waiting for the female (owner's wife) to get us a menu or direct us to where we needed to be for a take out order. She finally shoved her finger through the air in the direction of the dinning room. We went in and found a waitress and discussed what we wanted for our to-go plates. At NO time where we told they didn't have enough food to complete any of our orders. The place was filing up so we waited outside, since we were not eating there, we didn't want to occupy a table. When we came back in, the waitress informed us that they did not have enough food to fill our order so they made substitutions and it was at the register waiting for us. When we went to the register, the owner's wife had our food stuffed behind the counter down around her feed and she literally refused to give it to us. She said we were causing issues and that we were to leave and never come back. That was 4 years ago on my 35th birthday and believe me, I will NEVER go back.
