Stopped on a early afternoon trip between Beaufort and Charleston and I'm glad I did! Really enjoyed the cleanliness, friendly service and "home style" atmosphere. The food was great. Started with the fried mushrooms which came with ranch dressing and horse radish. Served piping hot with a tasty thin batter. Fried fish and oyster combo was perfect! Hush puppies a little too hard. A little more "Dukes" in the cold slaw would have been nice, but it was super fresh and had a great taste. Chose grits instead of fries and was very pleased. Nice taste, swollen, and served with a lot of butter on the side. The Apple Pie was good, but for some reason I thought it would be home made rather than boxed. I guess the look of the place had me geared up for something fresh out of the kitchen oven. I'll definitely return as I'm anxious to try other menu items. Hope they add a breakfast menu as we often travel in the early morning. Based on past popularity of Flo's (burnt down in 2015), I thought Fish Camp might try to capture that loyal breakfast crowd as well.
