Just came back and was totally disappointed. No one told me the rules:
1. If you order a bottle of white wine it cannot be kept cool.
Drink it at once or use ice cubes. They don’t have wine
buckets.
2. If you order oysters you cannot have cocktail sauce.
3. If you order fish you cannot have tartar sauce.
4. If you want salt you cannot have it from a shaker; same
with pepper. It comes in a little bowl for you to use
your fingers.
5. If you order lobster with pasta you need to be prepared
to take lobster in your hands (despite the sauce) and take
it out of shell.
a) you have to be strong enough to smash the claws ( the
kitchen does not do that). So you pick up a lobster claw
and try to crack it with sauce running all over your
hands
i. If you get a busboy attention and ask for help he lets
you know that this is how they do it. Too bad.
ii. If you are arthritic too bad.....
iii. Waitress tells you she “heard” you had problems
with the claw. That’s the way they do it....
b) if you are lucky enough to know they chef you get hot
towels to clean your hands after working the sauce
and lobster. We didn’t know the chef and I didn’t get
offered towels
c) if you want cheese for your pasta you had better ask
because it is not offered.
6. If you want your side dishes hot you better tell them up
front.
7. Busboy didn’t see customer dropped napkin when he left.
Table was reset and napkin left sitting where someone
would walk. I told our waitress and she thanked me and
picked it up. Busboy screwed up leaving something else
on the floor and I the waitress. She let me know that she
was done picking up and didsaid nothing.
Total horror...
