I have no complaint about the food my complaint is by the failure to update the pricing of the menu. I placed a very large order going by the prices on line it would have been around $200.00 ended up being over $260.00. That is a very pricing difference when with technology this menu could be updated weekly.

Most disgusting general Tso’s chicken we’ve ever had. Seriously gross. Odd texture, mushy& stringy, like processed chicken & smelled like it was bad. We didn’t dare to eat it as it smelled like chicken that’s gone bad. Called & told them & was told “sorry it wasn’t to your liking.” Fantastic! $15 for this gross meal that we threw in the trash! Spent 45 total. Same food would be 32 at New Garden. Never again! I hope they lose business after jacking prices up & serving bad food to people. Do NOT order gen Tsos. It’s simply gross! 🤮🤢We order a lot of takeout so New garden will get all our business! Guess they are not concerned about repeat business. Prices are the highest in town for the worst food! Their beef teriyaki is also really weird, like spongy mushy odd textured meat. Makes me wonder what I’m actually eating… Rice is good though. Done with this place! Im loyal if treated well & people act like they care & want my business. I don’t appreciate wasting my $ though& am happy to spread the word about bad food with poor customer service.

Poor Excuse For a Buisness Menu. Order go Pickup and price will be 33% Higher cost then what's shown online

I paid over $30 for 3 small containers of food. I could not eat any of the chicken - chicken fingers or General Tao's. It was very greasy and didnt taste like chicken at all. I was afraid it may be a different meat. The service was good, though.

I live in the Freeport area and my Husband and I travel almost 65 miles to Mei Lee Garden just to get some Good Chinese food. We have tried a few of the different dishes they have on their menu and have never bee disappointed with any of their dishes and I especially love their Fried Rice it is very difficult to find a really good Fried Rice but I know where I can get good Chinese Food and it is definitely worth the trip for us.

I was there today. The waitress was very good, answered our questions about what the names of the different foods meant. I LOVED the Crab Rangoon's, creamy, lots of crab, great flavor, crunchy outside while creamy inside. I had Luncheon #34 for $6.99 and my wife had a chicken chow mien. We both loved our food. My wife had no problem with anything. However my aging body had a big problem with the MSG that was in the food. I was sick and bloated for 2 hours. My wife had no problems. I am going to have to be more careful about the MSG. The MSG bothers me when i eat canned soups also. Meals were very well priced and had a great flavor.

I don't know who these so-called VIPs in Skowhegan are, but they must work for one of the other restaurants. Mei Lee Garden is the best in town.

Obviously J.B. wasn't around last year during ownership transition when the place went to hell for about 4-6 months. There food was the same quality as most of the buffets with in a 50 mile radius which in general is pretty poor.
To date they have returned to their former glory, they do have some days when the food is less then normal quality but still much better then most other places I've eaten at and I've hit almost all of them over the years with in a hundred miles.
Service has been lackluster from time to time but in general it's a pretty solid place to get your Chinese fix.

I have been eating at this restaurant for 20+ years. Not once have i ever had a problem with the food nor service. Most who are commenting are just butthurt because you couldn't have your own way. To bad for you. I have never seen such bad and negative reviews on this place. I think most of you are making crap up to make them look bad. If the restaurant is that bad, one would think they would be closed by now. Guess what, they have been around for a VERY long time!!! Suck it up people, they are the number one restaurant in skowhegan and will stay that way for a very long time. MEI LEE your food is awesome and i missed your food when living out of state, i will be there tonight to pick up my favorite pupu platter :)

Disgusting crap food and horrible service. I have been going there since I was a kid and it is now the worst Chinese restaurant ever! Bunch of teenagers running a restaurant with no respect and don't give a sh-t about anyone. Nasty leftover microwaved food, DO NOT EAT THERE!

I ordered delivery from here last night and just spent the last 2 hours at the ER due to food poisoning! Would NOT recommend this to anyone! Ever!

Been here several times. Worst fried rice I've ever seen. I think they should visit a real chinese restaurant in a big city and find out what the food should really be like. My garlic dish was more like sweet and sour. The duck sauce is just watered down apple sauce. I called in an order and wanted an order of just chicken fingers the girl was rude and said that it wasn't a side order it was an appetizer. Told her I didn't care what she called it I just wanted chicken fingers with no meal.

I'll wait until I go to Boston to get chinese food again. Not sure what nationality to call this place. I gave it 2 stars because it's acutally very clean.

Been going to this place for years, spent a lot of money here. My brother bought a gift certificate, and misplaced it recently, and went in to speak with a manager to see if a record of it could be found, he had the date and ammount. The manager just smiled at him and said "we sell a lot of gift certificates", and looked on to the next customer. Very poor service. My family will never go again and we will tell everyone we know not to go. It wasn't that he couldn't be helped, it was how the lady dealt with him....she was a total b-tch about it. Maybe they should get a man to do her job, men tend to not be such control freaks, or get bent out of shape as easily, they also tend to be nicer.

A happy customer tells one friend...a mad customer tells 10 friends. Don't go to Mei Lee Garden. China Ting is more affordable, and the service is way better! The people in charge at Mei Lee Garden are hateful. BTW your chicken fingers suck.

Consistent in quality. Usually a pleasant and quiet atmosphere.
