I grew up on Lachmann's bakery goods! Thank you for years of amazing memories. Mrs.Lachmann always greeted her customers with a warm smile and a gentle hello. She was the lady you wanted to have for a grandmother . What a great person. As a child going into the store looking at all the cookies , pastries, and bakery products through the glass cases you were lost into this world of wanting it all. Then there was a hand that came out of no where holding a free cookie, it was Mrs. Lachmann . All our baked goods came from there. After I grew up and moved away from Saugerties , I still came back to buy my baked goods there. I even spoiled my wife with Lachmann's famous butter buns . I would call ahead and order 6 dozen and eat a half dozen by myself before getting back home in Schenectady. I tried to support the store after it changed ownership, just isn't the same. I would love to have some butter buns again,the way Mrs. Lachmann once made , so I could share the experience with my daughter. Thank you for many years of magical memories Mrs. Lachmann and the staff at Lachmann's Bakery !
