We went for my boyfriend's birthday and found so many pescatarian options that it felt like the perfect choice. The food was fresh and flavorful-from the octopus salad and oysters to the arctic char and rockfish-with an amazing garlic aioli that I can't stop thinking about. Service had a few hiccups with seating, but the staff handled it quickly, and the relaxed, rustic vibe made for a great night out before a nearby comedy show.

I found out about this restaurant through their restaurant week offerings and decided to give it a shot for my boyfriend's birthday. The Black Olive had a good selection of pescatarian dishes which worked well for us. The three-course meal deal during restaurant week was $45, with additional charges for certain items like the octopus salad and lobster pasta. The parking in the area was a bit tricky, especially during rush hour, but overall, it was a decent dining experience worth checking out.
