C & M has changed. I've been eating there since the early 70s but now it isn't the same place. I live in Fl. but when I come to Md. C & M is a place I must eat at at least once during my visit. I bought a Cheese Steak sub. There was less in the sub and the bread was way wrong. What happened to the bread? If it was a cost thing I would have been glad to pay more to get the old style bread and filled like it was before.

I love love love this place!!! I have been going there since I was a little girl with my parents and now I take my daughters there!! They have the best tea and macaroni salad!!! The girls know what I order every time I walk in which is Bacon Egg and Cheese lightly toasted with tomato and mayonnaise with a side od macaroni salad and large tea,my children always get something to different to eat.i love that they know who you are when you walk in the door even if you haven't been in for a while..not a lot of little country spots like that left around anymore!! :-)

Went to C&M for lunch, upon entering all 3 ladies just looked at me, turned away and kept processing food, I said hello, they said nothing.... I said take your time I need a minute to look at the menu anyway. About 5-10 minutes lasted I was ready to order, they looked at me look at them and still didn't come out. 5 more minutes later a lady came out and said "you ready now" I said yes. I ordered 2 turkey sandwiches at the price of $4.25 each, add cheese .75 cents, Im not sure why I was charged $14.20 then. When I came back in to ask the lady came out smoking a cigarette in the restaurant food processing area and said, "If you ask for cheese we then charge you sub price" I'm thinking "But I didn't get a sub not the same size sandwich as a sub.... She proceeded to argue and said cheese is .75 cents, for you it's $1.00. At thi point I am very confused, not to mention the lettuce on my sandwiches is brown. I called them when I got to work to try to break the price down for me because $7.00 for a thin sandwich is a ripoff. All 3 ladies spoke with me, rudely am all 3 have me different prices. I'm calling the health dept, not to mention they were making potato salad with their bare hands and no gloves.
