I went to college in MD and somehow missed the pit beef thing. Being from Texas I do enjoy a good beef sandwhich which makes it even more ironic that I never discovered this until I saw it on the food channel. On a recent trip back to catch a football game, I pulled off 95 looking for a gas station. I happedned to pass this little stand and be hungry, so I thought why not? It was a blessing in disguise! The planents aligned and I found a great sandwhich that kept me satisfied for many more miles of highway. The owner was there and his kids were helping him out. After the first bite, I wanted to try everything on the menu, but that pitt beef sandwhich was awesome. Think roast beef but way better. It was nice with a littl onion and the sauce, but it was good enough to eat plain.

The food is fantastic! there is a nice seating station on the deck. the service is great and it makes it even better that the owner is always there, and willing to talk to you while you wait. i highly recommend the pit turkey with the open pit BBQ sauce. definitely the best pit beef place in Maryland!

It's Pit Beef, Ham and Turkey! You can't bet the price, taste and the portions are large... At least compared to most of the other Pit beef places around.
The kids that work there are friendly as is the owner, that's most always there. Thumbs up!!
Atmosphere is rated low because of it's location. It's on Rt 40, on the parking lot of a go-cart track.
Food with, the only thing, that might make it better is if they sliced their meet a bit thinner... I just like thinner cut meats...

As a "connoisseur" of the great Baltimore staple of "Pit Beef", I can say this one ranks in the top. The service is always good and the food is fantastic. Be sure to try a "Bull Dogg" or "Mega Threat" sandwich. You will not leave hungry!
The sides are excellent as well. The onion rings are beer battered and fried to order. Being on the 40 coridoor, the atmosphere is less than fantastic... but there is a go-kart track for the kids.
I highly recommend it!
