The waitstaff at Chat n Chew are quick to take orders and always get them right. The food is consistently fresh and the atmosphere is casual and comfortable. I love heading to Chat n Chew when I need a satisfying meal - their reputation for serving up hearty dishes holds true each time I visit.

Food was so-so. We seated ourselves and waited for 30 min on our server. The food items are not home cooked. Their gravy is out of a can and not nearly as good as home cooked.

The servers are great at the Chew. Rarely get a food item I'm not pleased with. Good coffee.

Aug.9, 2019: Had breakfast this morning at chat and chew. Ordered 2 pancakes with sausage gravy. The Gravy had no sausage in it. And it came out just warm not hot. Son-in-law order sausage gravy and biscuits. His gravy had no sausage in it. When I order sausage gravy I expect it to have a decent amount of sausage in it. Would not recommend their sausage gravy.

This is my favorite place to eat around here, next to Bull's Restaurant on 135 Backbone mountain. The service is good and the atmosphere is awesome. I like all the 1950's pictures and things. The place has stood the test of time and I love it. Never had a problem here and the food has always been awesome. Oh, and their rolls are good too!

The place is nice looking. But I got the Liver and onions, which is described as the liver being smothered with onions. The dish came out and there were two thin slices on onion on the liver. We flagged down the waitress and she went to the kitchen came back and informed us that this was out the liver and onions was made. We pointed out that the description said otherwise. the waitress went back and came back out after talking to the kitchen staff and said that we could have more onions but it would cost extra. we readily agree'd she came back out with two thinly sliced pieces of onion.. and charged us 40 cents extra. So much for getting what your advertised. I don't think we will go back for poor quality at high prices. Very disappointed.
